Lough Gur

Lough Gur

HeritageCo. Limerick

One of Ireland's richest archaeological spots, a horseshoe-shaped lake that people have lived around for six thousand years. The visitor centre tells the story with replica Stone and Bronze Age finds, and there's an easy lakeshore walk with plenty of birdlife. The grounds and lake are free to wander any time. Good for roughly 5 to 12, and the walk suits all ages.
