A brilliant piece of Iron Age Ireland, kept out of the weather. Corlea preserves an 18-metre stretch of a real oak bog road built in 148 BC, held in a humidified hall, and a guided tour explains how it was lifted out of the bog. Outside, short boardwalk trails cross the bogland where the rest of the road still lies buried. A great tie-in for a history or science topic. Free, an OPW site near Kenagh.
